Upcoming itSMF LA Meetings in Q3!

July 30th - Los Angeles Area Meeting - "Effective Service Catalog: the Roadway to Efficient IT Operations"

  • Our speaker, Mark Galligan, is a dedicated IT professional who is passionate about improving IT operations and the services it offers. No wonder that Mark hit upon the Service Catalog as a mechanism to bring customers, users and IT service operations together.
  • Through his extensive experience with designing, deploying and maintaining effective Service Catalogs at Pacific Life, and more currently at American Title, Mark has found the keys to unlocking the tremendous potential of an actionable service catalog to reduce costs, improve IT operations, and maximize service quality for customers and users.
  • Mark will discuss how to put into practice an “actionable” Service Catalog  - one that that meets the needs of the corporation, the employees and the support teams.  A dynamic catalog that not only informs all stakeholder about your standard services, but one that delivers ordered items and services in an effective and efficient manner. If your plans include building a quality Service Catalog, you won't want to miss this meeting!
  • Sponsor:  “The Donna”.  Integrity, Capacity, and Service”.  Specializing in ITSM/ITIL Certification Training. Let The Donna help you with your ITIL Certification training needs. August 11th - Orange County Area Meeting - "Why Should I Partner With You?"

  • Join us for our next itSMF USA LA LIG, Orange County (OC) area meeting on August 11th at Optum in Irvine, CA. We have all heard about the divide between "the business" and "IT".  Everyone seems to want better alignment between the business, and IT, but how does one achieve that exactly?  Come, listen and learn!  We have a knowledgeable speaker, a thought provoking (borderline contentious) topic lined up, and some strategies that will help you and your business customer partner together more effectively!
  • During this engaging presentation, you will have an opportunity to participate in an interactive discussion on a crucial topic that spans the Service Lifecycle - how to maintain a lively partnership with the business.  This is your opportunity to ask questions or seek advice on how to overcome barriers to successful engagement with the business.
  • Sponsor:  UGovernIT.  “Run the IT Department like a Business – Run the Business with IT”

You have earned the seat at the table, but you will not be able to keep it if you do not run IT as a Business. Introducing uGovernIT - our low cost, mobile friendly, cloud based SaaS offering is designed to help you manage your IT department securely and efficiently.  uGovernIT is easy to configure and quick to deploy and includes service desk, project management, resource management, asset management, and the Governance (compliance, security, portfolio management and budgeting) all on a common integrated platform giving you the analytics and 360 degree view to run IT as a business.
