This Webinar session will consist of a brief walk through of Software Asset Management’s foundation. Diving deeper into answering the age-old IT question “What do we own and how do we own it?” Specifically, we will highlight various types of legal documentation, noting key verbiage and contractual elements Software Asset Managers encounter in their day to day responsibilities. The briefing will cover various aspects of reviewing, drafting and negotiating agreements to ensure adequate protection and overall license term understanding. Attendees will gain insight into defining drafting and assigning SAM policies, procedures and responsibilities.
About the Speaker: Jennah Michalik

Jennah is a Software Asset Management (SAM) Specialist and Attorney at Quadrant Law Group. She is a Certified IT Asset Manager, Certified Software Asset Manager and a licensed attorney in New York and Minnesota. She has experience designing, implementing and operating SAM systems for large institutions and was named one of 25 Masters of IT Asset Management in 2016. Additionally, she has experience structuring and negotiating software and technology agreements. Jennah helps companies gain a true understanding of their software license environment and ensures they maintain a robust compliance program. Jennah has a passion for understanding licenses and their portability to assist clients in maximizing their licensing investments. She has reviewed hundreds of software license and maintenance agreements and leveraged her legal eye to recognize risk and negotiate cost opportunities, all the while being a liaison between legal and technology departments.
In her spare time, she enjoys camping with family, fishing, running and painting.
