The nominations period for election to the Board of Directors of itSMF USA is now officially closed. Thank you to all who submitted a nomination!

The elections will begin on October 1st.

The Board Members whose terms expire this year include:
Sallie Kennedy, Past President and Member of the Board
Kirk Holmes, Business Development Chair
Jay Stuart, President
Doug Tedder, IG & Member Services Chair (appointed on to complete Bill Bennett’s term, stands for election this year)


Board Members who will be continuing their terms include:
Robert Sterbens, President Elect and Governance Chair (expires 2011)
Dennis Ravenelle, Secretary (expires 2011)
Cassius Downs, Treasurer (expires 2012)
Veronique Lafontaine (expires 2012)
Suzanne Van Hove (expires 2012)

ELECTION SCHEDULE:

July 31st
Deadline for all nomination forms to be submitted to itSMF USA via fax.  They will then be provided to the Governance Committee Chair who will verify membership standing and forward to the Nominations Committee.

September 1st
The Nominations Committee will determine a slate of recommended candidates.

September 15th
Deadline for a member not chosen by the Nominations Committee as a recommended candidate, to request placement on the ballot in an open election position.   Request must be made in writing to elections@itsmfusa.org.

October 1st
Voting in the open election will begin. All voting members in good standing on September 15 are eligible to participate in the voting.  The voting members will use electronic voting or may fax, mail, or e-mail back their votes. All votes will be verified. The votes will be counted by the Governance Committee. The nominees with the most votes will be elected.  Voting will close on the last day of October.

November 10th
The membership will be notified of the results.

December 1st
The term of the newly-elected directors begins.
