IG Challenge
We have two winners for the Winter itSMF USA IG White Paper Challenge AND the San Diego LIG has won for a second time! That makes this our second two-timer for the Challenge! Ohio Valley was our runner up for the Winter Challenge. This Challenge's white paper topic was, "How does the new push for Self Service affect ITSM programs?". Congratulations goes out to both the San Diego and Ohio Valley LIGs.
Need an idea for your IG meeting? Want to capture your groups’ knowledge and produce a practitioner paper? Want to earn priSM CPDs???
A topic for discussion will be provided every two months (communicated at the IG Services meetings). The Knowledge Management portfolio group, specifically the IP Development Committee, generates all topics.
The IG will then hold their meeting with the purpose of ‘solving’ the topic – sharing their experiences and how they have applied ‘good practices’ in the described situation. Information is debated and then captured as ‘best practice’ for the IG. The IG will then format the results into a practitioner paper.
The IP Development Committee will review all papers submitted within the two-month period and a ‘winner’ will be chosen. A ‘virtual plaque’ (above) is awarded to the winning entry which can be posted on the IG’s website. All submissions will be posted on the itSMF USA website. The winning entry will be included in itSMF USA’s electronic publication, The Source for IT Service Management.
This concludes the IT Challenge cycle for 2011, but be sure to check back in December for the 2012 IG Challenge schedule.
