Optimizing and Evolving Change Management: An organization’s ability to learn and translate that learning into action

Los Angeles County Internal Services Department (ISD) has been practicing IT Change Management for 15+ years.  It  started with a simple paper authorization in the 1990’s, moved to the use of a Service Management System for ITIL-based Change Management in 2006 and later moved to the implementation of a new Service Management Solution in 2013. As a result, the opportunities have been vast; not only to implement ITIL / ITSM frameworks, but also to constantly leverage lessons learned in order to re-tool processes and systems.  Changing technologies, business climates, and cultural change have also been catalysts for CSI efforts in the Change Management arena. Bart Grutchfield, Information Technology Specialist for Los Angeles County ISD, will walk us through a presentation of what innovations have come about with ISD’s Change Management Process over the past six years that have resulted in the optimization of ISD’s Change Management Process.
