Service Automation – How far can you go?

The challenge faced by most organizations is how to maintain or increase your level of IT services and quality delivered, with an ever diminishing funding, while competing with external, consumer-focused solutions.  Historically, the options have been limited to wide-scale solution replacement and/or process outsourcing, with limited to no guarantee of achieving the benefits and results.  With the ever expanding capabilities of hosted and non-hosted solutions and increasing solidification of web services and integration standards, there has never been a better time to explore your automation and orchestration opportunities.  This presentation will provide insight into the differences between automation vs. orchestration, the possible journeys from a ground-up or enhancement to your ITSM solution and some key examples of architectures deployed to the field.
