This is your chance to come hear how
Varian Medical scoped, executed and progressed their Service Management
initiative to make a difference for their business. Steve will share some of the challenges
and lessons they’ve learned along the way, and also where they’re going
from here. They have implemented
Incident and Problem Management and Service Catalog, and they will be
tackling Change and Knowledge Management in 2014. Come ask questions and bring your
experiences to share with the group.
It will be an interactive discussion and time of learning from one
another.

Steve Carn
is
the Director of Enterprise Computing
& Operations at Varian Medical Systems Inc.
During his 20+ years in IT, Steve has held senior management roles in
IT risk management, disaster recovery and IT operations encompassing a broad
range of companies in the construction, retail, Internet, medical and
insurance industries. He actively advocates for and believes in running IT as
a business and champions using IT Service Management's workflow and workload
management to manage services in the "cloud."
Steve is an active board member and the 2009 President of the SF Bay
Area itSMF LIG, and a member of ISACA. Born and raised in New Zealand, Steve moved
to the SF Bay Area in 1988 and lives at the beach in Santa Cruz, CA.
