Why Align IT and the Business When You Can Fuse Them Together?
The traditional IT operating model of delivering IT to the business in the form of bundled capabilities and assets is now wearing thin in an age of cloud computing, on-demand services, virtualization, outsourcing and rapidly changing business delivery strategies. The role of IT is rapidly changing from technology tinkerer to services thinker. Traditional alignment approaches are no longer enough. IT must blend with the business. This session describes a 5-step practical approach for quickly repositioning IT towards achieving this blend to create a hard delivery focus around vital business functions, services and value. Organizations that have already undertaken this approach have found game-changing results positively received by business executives and customers of their IT services.
