and
it’s membership to the greater Service Management profession.

with the speaker to confirm all the documentation is complete
- Conduct
a brief technical walk thru with the speaker and our technical coordinator the
week prior to the webinar
- Introduce
the speaker
- Manage
the "polling” feature within the webinar (questions that engage the audience)
- Close
out the webinar,
thank
the speaker and the participants.

enough volunteers this is can be a light or as heavy a commitment depending on
your interest to participate)

Podcast Jockey - Have you had a chance to listen to the fun podcast that itSMF USA puts out each month? We are looking for a couple of new jockeys to work into the rotation to keep the sound "fresh!" We're happy to train and prepare you. We'll hold your hand completely. What we need from you is a strong verbal communication skill and some knowledge about IT.
Author Wrangler - We have an amazing speakers and writers bureau. We need 2-3 people to talk to work with people in the bureau and align their writing with your needs for the eJournal! You’d be part cheerleader, part recruiter and part editor, as you’d assist the writers in determining topics that would fit into our editorial calendar.
itSMF USA is looking for authors! If you are interested in collaborating on a book or writing one on your own, contact
Susan Schellhase, whitepapers@itsmfusa.org.
Topics we would like to pursue:
- Management Techniques
- Deploying multiple frameworks in a single organization
Book Review Volunteers Needed!
Who doesn't love free books? We are looking for volunteers to review current ITSM-related books
in the context of practical resources to fulfill real-world business
needs. A review should be no longer than a single page and should "leap
off the page.”
IT Governance will supply books at no cost to you for review. Once a book has been received by the reviewer, it would be expected that a review would be submitted to itSMF USA within two months for inclusion within a newsletter.
Questions that will prompt the reviewer for ideas of what to cover in their review:
- The key question: "Will the book work for the readership in the way intended?”
- Is the title appropriate, or could it be improved?
- Is theory kept to manageable levels, such that a non-expert can understand?
- Does the book seem comprehensive, or are there some obvious omissions?
- Should any other resources (books, web links, etc.) be referenced?
- What do you see as the market(s) for the book?
We appreciate as much additional opinion as you are able to give. Thank you, in advance, for taking the time to review publications.
priSM CPDs are available for your published reviews! Check out the Book Review Page.
